$731,648 in unpaid wages has been recovered after a
national investigation into emerging fast food, restaurant and café
franchises. Almost 80% of stores were found to be breaching the
law. More than 50% had underpaid staff.
Updated Fair Work Information Statement December 2019
The Fair Work Ombudsman has updated the Fair Work Information
Statement. Employers must provide all new employees with a copy of
the Fair Work Information Statement prior to or upon
commencement of their employment.
MOS Burger Australia underpaid workers $1.1 million
MOS Burger Australia Pty Ltd has been caught underpaying current
and former workers $1.12 million. After a Fair Work Ombudsman
investigation found contraventions of the Fast Food Industry Award
2010.
