SafeWork NSW has served a notice of a formal investigation
on Qantas over claims that the company committed serious offences
over the suspension of an aircraft cleaner who raised concerns
about workers being exposed to the coronavirus.

Employee underpayments at Super Retail Group have
blown out to more than $60million. After new relevations that more
staff have been underpaid.

Target has admitted it underpaid employees in its Australian
stores by $9 million.

Coles has admitted it underpaid employees in its supermarket and
liquor stores by $20 million.

The Fair Work Ombudsman has commenced legal action against an
excavation business and its sole director. Alledging they underpaid
an employee and failed to pay termination correctly. The company
faces a maximum penalty of $31,500, while the sole director faces a
maximum penalty of $6,300.

The directors and shareholders of Crust Pizza in western Sydney
are now facing court action after failing to comply with a
Compliance Notice requiring the company to calculate and back-pay
employees.

$731,648 in unpaid wages has been recovered after a
national investigation into emerging fast food, restaurant and café
franchises. Almost 80% of stores were found to be breaching the
law. More than 50% had underpaid staff.

MOS Burger Australia Pty Ltd has been caught underpaying current
and former workers $1.12 million. After a Fair Work Ombudsman
investigation found contraventions of the Fast Food Industry Award
2010.
