Better HR is about to release a new mobile app for
employees. Its designed to help free up you and your employees time
by making it quicker and easier to manage important HR information
on a daily basis.
The Fair Work Ombudsman has commenced legal action against an
excavation business and its sole director. Alledging they underpaid
an employee and failed to pay termination correctly. The company
faces a maximum penalty of $31,500, while the sole director faces a
maximum penalty of $6,300.
New whistleblower laws now clarify company responsibilities and
encourage individuals to blow the whistle on corporate misconduct.
They also require some businesses to have a detailed whistleblower
policy in place from 1 January this year.
