From 29th May 2020, the Vehicle Manufacturing, Repair, Services and Retail Award 2010 will be varied and become the Vehicle Repair, Services and Retail Award [MA000089] 2020.
The variation means that the manufacturing stream of the Vehicle Manufacturing, Repair, Service and Retail Award 2010 [MA000089] is moving into the Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award 2020 [MA000010].
What employers should do?
- Employers should familiarise themselves with both these awards and assess if the changes affect their business and its employees.
- If there is any impact, it is recommended that all affected employees be issued with amended or new employment contracts consistent with the changes.
- It is also recommended that employers update their workplace policies or other work arrangements which make mention of the old award.
