From 30 October 2023, there were changes to some of the age group descriptions in the Miscellaneous Award and the Black Coal Award.

What’s changed

Some of the junior age group descriptions have been updated in the Miscellaneous Award and the Black Coal Award.

In the Miscellaneous Award, the description ‘16 years or under’ is now ‘Under 16 years’ in the tables in clauses A.3.1, A.3.2 and A.3.3.

In the Black Coal Award, there are changes to the age descriptions in clauses A.7 and B.2.2.

These changes take effect from the first full pay period that starts on or after 30 October 2023.
