ATO forms are now available for those employees who meet the new jobkeeper eligibility test as at 1 July 2020 for jobkeeper payments from 3 August 2020.
Employers have until 31 August 2020 to make any payments for fortnights 10 and 11 (starting 3 August 2020 and 17 August 2020 respectively) for new employees who qualify for the updated scheme.
NB: What makes you eligible for Jobkeeper? Employers must meet one of the two GST turnover tests below in order to qualify for jobkeeper:
• Basic test – March 2020 – September 2020 –  turnover is assessed for any month/quarter which either precedes or includes the fortnight in which the employer makes its first jobkeeper payment compared to the same month/quarter in 2019
• Alternative test- where an event or circumstance that is outside the usual business setting results in the relevant comparison period in 2019 not being appropriate the alternative test below will apply.
